How Far We Have Come

RRAA was established in 1986 by the Norwegian Embassy in Pakistan as the Norwegian Project Office (NPO) to assist Afghan refugees. In 1990, we were recognized as an independent national NGO.

By 1993, we shifted operations inside Afghanistan, establishing regional offices in the North, South, East, and West. Today, RRAA implements over 12 major programs with partners like UNICEF, WFP, and FAO.
