The Context
After 40 years of conflict and frequent natural disasters (earthquakes, floods, droughts), millions of Afghans face acute food insecurity. Shock-affected people (IDPs, returnees, disaster victims) often lack basic shelter, food, and winter protection.
Based on IPC reports, 28.3 Million people are facing high levels of acute food insecurity. In provinces like Ghor and Badghis, economic desperation has led to extreme coping mechanisms.
Key Challenge
Continuous 5-year drought, withdrawal of international aid, and economic collapse have left millions jobless and unable to afford food. Immediate humanitarian intervention is critical to save lives.
Strategic Objectives
Humanitarian Action
The objective is to save lives, alleviate suffering, and maintain human dignity during crises. We focus on Shelter provision, Multi-Purpose Cash (MPC), Winterization, and Food Security.
